Why won't the engine start when the key is turned?
1) Confirm the PTO lever is in the neutral
position.
2) For our customer¡¯s safety and anti-theft, we install
a safety switch in all of our tractors. Push the clutch
pedal firmly when you
start the engine and confirm whether the Forward/Reverse
lever is in the neutral position.
3) Check the main fuse and replace if necessary.
4) Check the battery and terminals.
5) Check key switch and starter motor. Contact local Branson
Dealer.
Why do I do if starter is operating but the engine won't
start?
1) Check fuel level in tank and bleed air from fuel lines after refueling.
2) Check if there is smoke coming out from the engine¡¯s muffler. Preheat the engine for about 5 seconds by turning the key to the left, then start the engine.
3) Check the fuel hoses for leaks and contact local Branson Dealer.
What if engine rotation is irregular?
1) Check for water inside of the fuel system. If excessive
amounts of water are discovered within the fuel system,
drain and refill with clean fuel.
2) Always follow EPA guidelines when disposing of contaminated
fuel.
3) Check air in the fuel filter. Remove the air by loosening
the bolts on the filters and plunger of the engine. After
bolts are loosened, run the engine for 5 to 10 seconds.
Tighten bolts back when fuel is seen leaking from filter.
4) Check the fuel hoses for leaks and contact local Branson
Dealer.
5) Check for excessive noise and white colored smoke coming
from the engine and exhaust.
6) If problem persists contact local Branson Dealer.
What do I do if my engine is overheating?
1) Check water level in radiator. Add coolant and water
if necessary.
2) Check radiator for blockage or clog. Blow out or clean
radiator with compressed air if possible.
3) Check engine oil level. The engine will consume or
use a small amount of oil during normal operation. Frequently
check oil level and add oil as necessary.
4) Check fan belt between engine and radiator. If the
tension of the fan belt is loose, the fan cannot cool
the engine effectively. Try adjusting the tension per
your Operator¡¯s manual.
5) If problem persists contact local Branson Dealer.
What can I do if the engine is losing power?
1) Check the air filter. If the air filter is clogged
or dirty, air cannot pass freely into the engine. Replace
or clean the air filter.
2) Check the fuel quality. Remove and replace old fuel.
3) Check fuel hoses.
4) Check fuel filter.
5) If problem persists contact local Branson Dealer.
